Dear Blogger,
Sorry I have been away for so long. Plenty of things have happened. I have finally finished my Undergraduate degree at the University, with first class honours and have made the rather painful transition from student life to that of the rather drifting existence of someone without a job. I genuinely miss attending seminars and lectures, reading quirky little articles on JSTOR that don't have an awful amount of relevance to anything but are interesting nonetheless and generally having somewhere to go every day. But it is the end of an era, and as I once said as a four year old moving from nursery to infant school 'we all have to move on' (it seems I was rather a precocious child from the beginning)
The ceremony was full of all the pomp and circumstance you would expect from such an occasion and before I knew it I had crossed the stage, shook hands with the vice chancellor and descended the stairs with a grin on my face to rival the Cheshire cat's. The robes were brilliant (just like being in Harry Potter) and I think that was the most crushing part of the day, taking them off, putting my mortar board on a pile of many many others to be worn again by people just like me, well anyway, people with a head circumference of 58cm.
I still can't believe it's all over. All I can say is that I am ever so glad it happened, they really were the best, the worst, the most brilliant, the most peculiar, the funniest and the saddest four years of my life and I have changed immeasurably and permanently, I hope, for the better.

Thanks for your lovely comment :) I love your new blog logo x
