A grand don't come for free

Last Tuesday I went shopping.
I am going to try very hard not to sound like another Rebecca (Bloomwood - Confessions of a Shopaholic) when I describe my experiences, but I am afraid it is too late for that now. So to give a little perspective, I had taken my very first 'oral exam' on the Monday which was quite terrifying and involved speaking at length about the course materials and other fascinating subjects such as metonymy . All the time in a room where there was another exam being taking place by a girl with dubious English skills (for a Masters student in translation) with an audience.
So I was feeling a bit tired, overwhelmed and frankly bored by the fact that for the relatively short time I had been back in Turin after Xmas I had done nothing but revise and occasionally leave the appartment to go running and food shopping.
So Tuesday came around, and my flatmate Amy had suggested we go shopping as she needed a few things for her trip to Paris. I needed nothing.
So in a way it makes sense that I bought a leopard skin coat (fake fur of course), a black dress, a jumper dress, a soft grey jumper, some leggings (essentials), a hello kitty hairbrush and an emerald green skirt.

Shopping. How practically perfect in every way. They will call her, the girl in the green skirt.
I've been wearing my new coat everywhere, even to the supermarket. It's so much more glamourous choosing apples when you feel like a femme fatale.

Today I have mostly been watching:
House M.D
I have been mostly drinking:
Earl Grey Tea
